Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue

Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue is the historic ceramic landmark of Jingdezhen – a good example of cultural and creative pottery industry.

Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue is located in the eastern district, the urban heritage of Jingdezhen. It was officially put into operation in October 2016. The Ceramic Art Avenue was refurbished from the original Cosmos Porcelain Factory in the central area, an extensive area with large factory buildings from the local porcelain production in 1960s. After the first project phase, the avenue has developed to become a leisure touring marketplace. the area forms a connection to its industrial history with new functions such as a museum, porcelain shops, ceramic craft teaching and a ceramics market. In a second project phase, the eastern site is transformed into a campus for the performing arts with colleges, performance venues, restaurants and 5-star hotels. The Ceramic Art Avenue not only preserves and convertes the existing buildings for re-use, but also complements the urban city with new buildings to gain a contemporary presence as part of the city complex. Now people walk in the Ceramic Art Avenue, to experience the lively ceramic art atmosphere, like crossing from the old tradition to fashionable modern.
